Season for WHITE....

You know that crazy rule that white is only appropriate to wear between Memorial Day and Labor Day? Crazy right? Who even writes these crazy rules? Any who, this is one fashion rule I defiantly don't follow and am guilty of breaking just the other night as I attended a family dinner wearing all white, a little touch of color, and a black blazer. oops!

For all of you that follow this rule, only a couple more days......

On another note, we just returned from my surprise trip and my hubs seriously planned the most amazing trip to Amsterdam. His Grandpa actually grew up there(hence the last name) and we got to go back to his hometown. It was amazing and somewhere we will defiantly be going back to.

Where in the World.....

I am writing this post in advance since who knows where I am at in the world.  Mr. Husband planned a surprise trip for our anniversary. All he told me was that I need my passport, no swimsuit, and it may rain.

Ya, lets talk about packing....  turned into a nightmare.

Anniversary....

Four years ago I married this handsome man!

Not sure how I got so lucky to find such an amazing guy that loves me and most importantly gets me. I remember before being married I thought that it was going to be a fairytale, ya know just like ALL the movies. I am proud to say that is completely false, it is not the fairytale like you see in the movies, it is ten times better. I am the first to admit that we fight, argue, scream, and cry{me} but if we didn't then we wouldn't haven grown into what we are today and what we will become tomorrow. 

Like I mentioned before Pete gets me. He knows how to deal with my meltdowns. He has learned to let me go all out on holidays, party's, decorating ect. without telling me I am crazy and doing whatever it takes to to make it everything I imagine. He lets me live my dreams and is right there by my side while I do them. He shares my passion for travel and is always up for new adventures. He is willing to make sacrifices to make me happy. He works full time, does school full time, gets in his flying hours all while being the husband and dad that we need him to be. He trust me. He lets me go shopping as much as I want{need} because he trusts me with our money.  He always lets me be me. I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect for me then this guy!

I love you babe! Happy Anniversary I can't wait to see what the next years brings us.

I couldn't be more excited for summer to get here. My ideal summer day is hanging out by the pool all day and then dressing up for a date night with the hubs!

One Dress, Two Ways...

My favorite items in my closet are those that can be worn many ways. This dress for instants, was bought as a swim suit cover up last summer which worked great for that but I decided to do something else with it. For church I threw on a Blazer and some flats to make it look more dressy which could also work  if you are needing to dress up for work or even a date night with the hubs.  That same night we had a BBQ with some family and I decided to go for a more casual look which all it took was pairing it with a chambray top and some flip flops.

Simple as that!

Finding those Gems.....

Friday I happened to have the day off which was very much needed. Hadlee and I decided to dejunk our house to get ready to move {our house is FINALLY almost done}. I went through boxes of old clothes that I had packed away a year or so ago. I am so glad I went through it cause I found some gems and pretty much felt like I went on a shopping spree in my own closet!

 If any of you are like me {probably not, I am crazy} and pack some of your clothes away that can't fit in your closet, I challenge you to dig though them and see what catches your eye. That is the glamorous thing about fashion trends changing, because those things that were once outdated are now a big hit!

 One of my favorite things is to mix bright colors up, even those ones you may not think go together. Nothing will make it seem more like spring then throwing on some bright colors topped off with some bright lips :)
